About Kendriya Vidyalaya Imphal No.1 Lamphelpat

 

Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Imphal Lamphelpat , formerly named as Central School , Imphal, came into extistance in 1964 at the south block of Johnstone Higher School . It was shifted to Babupara, near Manipur State Circuit House (Now State Guest house)

The Present Vidyalaya building was inauguarated on 9th March 1976 by the then Deputy Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Shri Krishnamurthy. It is situated at Lamphelpat area near ICAR: Imphal Centre.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Imphal Lamphelpat , is under the direct control of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan : New Delhi fully financed by the Education Department of Ministry of Human Resource Development : Government of  India. Its head Quarter is at 18 Industrial Area , Shaheed  Jeet Singh Marg, New Delhi- 110016.

The Vidyalaya has been a model Kendriya Vidyalaya since 1997-98 session and has been selected as a Smart School . It is a co-educational institution of high  repute with science and humanities streams at + 2 stages.

It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education : Delhi, Its regional office is  at Rajgarh Tinali, Guwahati- 781003.
