Financial Assistance 

The unit was established 30th January 2002 and   financial assistance of Rs.20.00 Lakh under the financial assistance scheme of Govt on Use and Development of Biofertilizers.


Production

Production process is being used Production  by and large semi-sterile in which bacterial biomass is serially upscaled from slants to small flasks, to bigger flasks, in seed fermentor and finally in large steel fermentors (100 lit cap). After quality checking pure bacterial broth is mixed with sterile carrier material and packed.

Size of the packet and shelf life 200 gm, shelf life six months

Production of Biofertilizer  has started  since January 2002, its production figures will be reflected in the years to come. But as a prelude to this,  35 MT of biofertilizer produced by the RBDC Imphal has been distributed through this unit by the Department in the state of Nagaland during the last four years. During the period from January 2002 to March 2002 approximately 1.5 MT of biofertilizer was produced and distributed to the farmers

Extension Activities

Details of extension activities 
(a) Extension activities are being taken up by the extension wing of the Department.
(b) Deptt is also collaborating the extension activities of RBDC, Imphal and are organizing various extension staff training programmes and demonstration -cum - field days.
